That’s why your provider will have your glucose tested during pregnancy.

According to the American College of Obstetrics & Gynecology, risk factors for Diabetes Mellitis include:

* being overweight or obese
* being physically inactive
* having GD in a previous pregnancy
* having a very large baby (9 pounds or more) in a previous pregnancy
* having high blood pressure
* having a history of heart disease
* having polycystic o***y syndrome (PCOS)

Untreated Diabetes Mellitis during pregnancy can have serious consequences to mom and baby. Make sure you are following your providers guidence to care for your health during your pregnancy.

The American College of Obstetrics & Gynecology states that abnormal bleeding includes:

* Bleeding or spotting between periods
* Bleeding or spotting after s*x
* Heavy bleeding during your period
* Bleeding that soaks through one or more tampons or pads every hour
* Bleeding that lasts more than 7 days
* Menstrual cycles that are longer than 35 days or shorter than 21 days
* “Irregular” periods in which cycle length varies by more than 7 to 9 days
* Not having a period for 3 to 6 months
* Bleeding after menopause
