Ben & Danen’s Taste & Learn 🇵🇹🍲

Another wonderful Taste & Learn is in the books! Ben and Danen shared a delicious Portuguese Sopa inspired by Danen’s grandmother’s treasured family recipe. While it’s traditionally served over crusty bread, we paired it with fresh baguette, and it was the perfect complement.

Our residents enjoyed learning about the tradition behind the dish, and the best compliment of all? Every last spoonful was gone! Seeing our residents gather around good food, great stories, and shared culture is what these moments are all about. ❤️

Jammin’ with Rick Jarrett!

Our activity room was packed with great vibes, contagious energy, and the incredible sounds of Rick Jarrett filling the room. We even had a special guest appearance from our Activities Director, who couldn’t resist grabbing the mic and singing along!

From clapping and dancing to singing every word, our residents had an absolute blast and were already asking when Rick would be back.

Until next month, Rick—thanks for another unforgettable afternoon of music, laughter, and memories! ❤️🎶

One of our residents’ favorite monthly traditions is spending time with Jody, singing along to beloved classics and enjoying every moment together. Our ladies always light up with his wonderful tunes, while the gentlemen never hesitate to join in and sing along.

Another unforgettable July highlight, reminding us that music has a special way of bringing people together, sparking memories, and filling our community with joy, laughter, and connection. Moments like these are what make AGCC feel so much like home. ❤️

Our residents were tapping their toes, clapping along, and singing to every tune. Great music, delicious food, and even better company made for another unforgettable day together.

🌿 Another successful AGCC Farmers Market is in the books! 🌿

Our residents proudly shared the fruits and veggies of their hard work by giving away fresh, locally grown produce from our farm to our amazing staff as a token of appreciation. It was a beautiful morning filled with sunshine, smiles, fresh coffee from our AGCC Coffee Bar, a delicious pancake bar enjoyed by residents, staff, and family members alike, and a heartfelt bake sale supporting the Alzheimer’s Association.

Moments like these remind us that it’s about so much more than growing a garden—it’s about growing connections. Bringing the community to our residents and creating meaningful experiences is what our Activities Department is all about. 💚🌱

Another successful resident outing is in the books! 🌊☀️

Our residents spent the day exploring the Central Coast Aquarium, where they enjoyed hands-on experiences with fascinating marine life and discovered the wonders of the ocean. We soaked up the beautiful sunshine with a visit to Avila Beach before wrapping up the day with delicious pizza from Mission Pizza.

From new experiences and fresh ocean air to great food and even better company, it was a day filled with smiles, laughter, and wonderful memories. These special outings are what it’s all about! 💙🍕🐠

Clay Show: Engines & Horizons Art Exhibit ✈️⛵🎨

Today, we had the honor of showcasing one of our talented resident’s lifelong passion through our “Clay Show; Engines & Horizons” art exhibit. Family, friends, neighbors, staff, and members of our community gathered to admire an extraordinary collection of handcrafted airplanes and boats, each piece meticulously made with remarkable detail, patience, and love.

Every model tells a story—of dedication, imagination, and a lifetime of artistry. It was heartwarming to see so many people come together to celebrate not only the artwork itself, but the incredible person behind each creation.

Thank you to everyone who joined us in making this exhibit so meaningful. Moments like these remind us that creativity has no age, and that every life holds a legacy worth sharing.
