Sometimes healing isn’t about feeling completely ready.

It’s about becoming willing and able to stay with what comes up. 🤍

Noah Kahan’s Willing and Able captures something that shows up in therapy all the time: the tension between wanting closeness, change, or something meaningful—and the parts of us that are still scared of what it might cost.

We can want connection and still want to protect ourselves. We can love someone and still fear being hurt. We can want to move forward while parts of us are holding tightly to the past.

In therapy, we don’t have to force those protective parts out of the way. Through approaches like IFS and EMDR, we can get curious about why they learned to protect us in the first place and help the nervous system recognize that the present doesn’t always have to repeat the past.

You don’t have to be fearless to heal.

Sometimes being willing is enough to begin. 🌿

✨ Officially completed IFS Level 1 Training! ✨

I’m so grateful to have had the opportunity to deepen my understanding of Internal Family Systems (IFS) and the ways we can approach all parts of ourselves with more curiosity, compassion, and connection.

This training has been such a meaningful addition to my work as a therapist, and I’m excited to continue integrating IFS alongside EMDR and the other approaches I use to support healing and growth. 🤍

Grateful for everything I’ve learned, the people I’ve learned alongside, and all that’s still ahead. 🌿

The surface may look calm, but there's always movement underneath.

The same is true for us.

Instead of pushing through today, pause and notice:
What thoughts, feelings, or parts of you are asking to be seen?

You don't have to hold it all together every moment. 🌿

Hydration is self-care's least glamorous cousin.

No one posts a dramatic transformation after drinking 64 ounces of water, but your nervous system is over there like, "Honestly, thank you." 💧✨

Your therapist says "notice that" in three different emotional states. 😂

Same words. Different tone. Completely different meaning.

"Notice that."

😊 A gentle invitation to be curious.

🤔 Genuine confusion.

😒 The therapist equivalent of, "And what do we think is happening here?"

A reminder that communication is about so much more than the words we use. Tone, facial expressions, and nervous system state all matter.

Therapists—how many times have you said "notice that" this week? 👀

Many of the women I work with are the ones everyone else relies on.

They show up. They keep going. They hold it together.

But underneath, they often feel overwhelmed, emotionally exhausted, disconnected from themselves, or stuck in survival mode.

Therapy doesn't have to be about fixing what's "wrong" with you. Sometimes it's about finally having a space where you don't have to perform, over-function, or pretend you're okay.

I'm honored to have been featured by Golden Marketplace to share more about the heart behind Meer Soul Counseling, my approach to therapy, and the work I do supporting women navigating anxiety, trauma, grief, burnout, and life transitions.

You’re terrified to start therapy… but then your therapist feels like a safe exhale. 🤍

No pressure to “have it all figured out.”
No expectation to say the perfect thing.
Just a space where you can show up exactly as you are.

Starting therapy can feel vulnerable, awkward, and scary — especially if you’ve spent most of your life holding everything together on your own. But healing doesn’t have to happen alone.

Sometimes the hardest part is just walking through the door. ✨
