Meet John-
For John McLendon, serving as a licensed Funeral Director is his second career. After graduating college, the first time, John started a successful career in Corporate and Retail Marketing and Advertising. Currently he is marketing for Midstate Funeral & Cremation.
John started his second career almost 10 years ago by working as a funeral assistant. He then served his apprenticeship, and attended the Mortuary Program at Fayetteville Tech. He has worked diligently in his new career and was eventually one of the first 10 people to become a Provisional Funeral Director in the State of North Carolina. As a result of his efforts, diligence and love for the profession, John is currently a licensed Funeral Director, a licensed Pre-Need Agent and a Certified Celebrant, meaning that he can officiate and speak at Funeral ceremonies if a family does not have a pastor or officiant.

John and Alison were honored to deliver a donation check to FirstHealth Hospice. ❤️

These funds were raised in memory of Matthew Norris and directed to the nonprofit organization chosen by his family.

Through our Treasured Memories Fund, families have the opportunity to request that memorial donations be made to a charity or nonprofit of their choice in lieu of flowers. It's a meaningful way to honor a loved one's legacy while supporting causes that are close to their hearts.

We are grateful to Matthew's family for allowing us to be a small part of honoring his memory and making a lasting impact in our community. 💐
