Ringworm might sound like something out of an old wives' tale, but it's one of the most common skin infections, and locker rooms are one of the easiest places to pick it up. Between shared mats, sweaty gear, and barefoot showers, fall sports season is peak season for it.

The fix is simple: shower right after practice, wear sandals in shared showers, and don't share towels or gear. If you spot a ring-shaped, itchy rash on your student-athlete, give us a call before it spreads to the rest of the team.
