Parents gathered for feeding support, connection, questions, encouragement, and a chance to be in community with others navigating the early days of parenthood.

Behind every birth is a team committed to continual learning, collaboration, and excellence in care.

Our midwives spend time practicing hands-on skills and reviewing emergency protocols together.

Midwives are trained to safely support babies who are born in different positions and to respond skillfully when birth doesn’t unfold as expected.

Ongoing training helps our midwifery team stay prepared, confident, and ready to provide responsive, evidence-based care when it matters most.

We never stop learning how to better serve our families.

The way you feel during labor can directly impact how your labor unfolds.

Birth is deeply hormonal — not just physical.

Your body was designed to release hormones during labor that support both birth and bonding.

Oxytocin — often called the “love hormone” — plays a major role in labor contractions, pain coping, emotional connection, breastfeeding, and bonding with your baby.

And oxytocin flows best when birthing people feel:
🌿 safe
🌿 supported
🌿 private
🌿 nourished
🌿 emotionally connected

That’s one reason environment matters so much in birth.

Dim lights, calm support, uninterrupted labor, touch, warmth, water, movement, and feeling emotionally safe can all help support the body’s natural hormonal process during labor.

Birth is physical — but it’s also deeply hormonal, emotional, and relational.

BIRTH USHERS US INTO AN ALTERED STATE OF CONSCIOUSNESS - Birth invites the brain into a different rhythm—shifting out of busy beta waves and into slower alpha and theta states, where the thinking mind quiets and the intuitive body takes over. In this altered state of consciousness, time blurs, awareness turns inward, and each sensation is guided by instinct rather than analysis.

During a free flowing birth, this brainwave shift supports the release of oxytocin and endorphins, helping the body open, soften, and move in harmony with each wave.
