📌 We're launching Aether Community of Care Network (ACCN)! Trusted therapists in our community can apply to work with Aether to provide ketamine-assisted psychotherapy (KAP) to their clients at our facility. We provide the psychiatric evaluation, medical clearance, and ketamine administration and monitoring. You provide therapy to your clients as an independent provider.

✨ Meet Aimee Spencer, PA-C ✨

Aimee Spencer is a board-certified Physician Assistant with specialization in integrative mental health, ketamine assisted psychotherapy, and repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS). With a breadth of experience across multiple disciplines of medicine including family practice, emergency medicine, and more, she has found her home in mental health with a focus on wellness through an integrative lens.

Specializing in ketamine-assisted therapies and TMS, Aimee completed advanced training through The Pearl Institute, Polaris Insight Center, and The Academy of Brain Stimulation. She is a dedicated educator who now shares her expertise with psychiatric nurse practitioner students, residents, and more.

As an integrative practitioner with a focus on neurowellness, Aimee’s passion lies in exploring the interplay between physical and emotional health. She supports patients in exploring how small lifestyle changes can lead to big impacts on mental health, inflammation, hormonal imbalances, gut health, and nutrition.

Aimee is a certified Integrative Medicine Provider in PTSD, Complex Trauma and Traumatic Brain Injuries. She holds additional certifications in Women’s Functional and Integrative Medicine and is a Brain Health Professional through Amen Clinics. She has completed advanced training in nutritional psychiatry through the Integrative Psychiatry Institute. She has additional training in the management of complex mental health conditions through the Kharrazian and Walsh Research Institutes.

Aimee combines her expertise in ketamine-assisted therapies, TMS, and integrative mental health to provide holistic, individualized care that empowers patients to achieve optimal well-being.

Symptoms change, life events happen, and different approaches are needed at different times.

👉🏼 You can enter at many care points–whether you are new to treatment, simplifying long-term medications, or exploring interventional options after years of feeling stuck.

👉🏼 Care is dynamic and non-linear. We may step up intensity when symptoms are severe and step down as things stabilize.

✨ Meet Dr. Caroline Lewis ✨


Dr. Lewis is a board-certified psychiatrist with over 15 years of experience treating adults across the full spectrum of psychiatric conditions, including depression, bipolar disorder, PTSD, OCD, anxiety, substance use disorders, and psychotic disorders.

After completing her medical degree at The Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University and her psychiatry residency at the University of New Mexico, Dr. Lewis built her career across private practice, community mental health, hospital-based care, and the VA system.

During her tenure at the Charles George VA Medical Center in Asheville, she co-founded both the Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) program and the rTMS program — administering over 150 ketamine infusions and witnessing the kind of outcomes that shaped the vision for Aether.

She has received advanced training in IV, IM, oral, and intranasal ketamine from The Ketamine Training Center, The Pearl Institute, and the VA, as well as advanced TMS training through the VA and The Academy of Brain Stimulation.

Dr. Lewis also served as co-investigator and site physician in the FDA Expanded Access program for MDMA-Assisted Psychotherapy through Lykos PBC (formerly MAPS PBC).

She is an affiliate faculty member of the MAHEC Department of Psychiatry, and is passionate about combining clinical expertise with innovative therapeutic modalities to help individuals reclaim their lives.

👉🏼  This is the level of expertise you can expect at Aether Interventional Psychiatry. Dr. Lewis is not a silent founder, sitting in the background–she’s right there with our staff and our patients, doing the work and supporting the team. Aether is her vision and her passion, and she’s excited to share it with this community!
