Our hearts are with Kristen Taylor of Discover Asheville and her family right now. Her teenage son, Aiden, was involved in a tragic motorcycle accident and has been in the ICU for the past two weeks. They are now desperately trying to get him to Atlanta so he can receive the specialized care he needs.

Kristen has been such a selfless and important part of our community. During Helene, she worked tirelessly to keep Western North Carolina informed, connect volunteers, find donations, and help so many people during an incredibly difficult time.

As a single mother of two, we can only imagine the weight she is carrying right now. If you are able, please consider donating to help get Aiden to Atlanta and support their family during this heartbreaking time.
