A Day in the Life: Nervous System Reset

Your nervous system responds to small signals throughout the day.

Not every reset requires a meditation app, a perfect morning routine, or an hour of self-care.

Sometimes it looks like:

🌅 Three slow breaths before checking your phone
☀️ Two minutes outside between meetings
🌙 A warm shower before bed

These moments may seem simple, but they can help communicate safety, stability, and care to your body.

Which of these feels most doable for you today?

Comment with 🌅 ☀️ or 🌙 to tell us which reset you'll try first.

May is Mental Health Awareness Month — a reminder that mental well-being is just as important as physical health. This month encourages open conversations, compassion, and support for those facing mental health challenges. Whether it’s checking in with a friend, taking time to rest, seeking professional support, or practicing self-care, small actions can make a meaningful difference. Together, we can help reduce stigma, promote understanding, and create a community where everyone feels supported and empowered to prioritize their mental health.

If you are an Asheville food & beverage worker, see flyer below for free mental health counseling through All Souls Counseling Center & call (828)-259-3369 to schedule. This is offered in partnership with Bear's Smokehouse BBQ & Linked4Life.

We are thrilled to be here at the Hint Health Summit and heard from our founder, Dr. Ben Aiken, who spoke about building a DPC practice without losing yourself, as well as Senator William Frist, MD who had much to share about rebuilding harmony in healthcare. Have any plans this Saturday night!? We're a sponsor of The Hubbub, an inaugural benefit for WNC Food Coalition this coming Saturday night from 7:00-11:00 p.m. at Highland Brewing, 12 Old Charlotte Hwy.

Join us in supporting small farms and the food hubs who buy, sell, and stock fresh, local, charitable food across Western North Carolina!

Equal Plates is catering with local ingredients purchased from the hubs and farms that will be benefiting. Free Planet Radio and Anya Hinkle will be performing during the main event and DJ Lil Meow Meow is spicing up the after party - it should be super fun!
