Fear is the mind killer”
“Fear is the path to the darkside”

There is much to fear right now as the world spins into a hyper techno surveillance state among so many other issues. If you are exposed to media you are being fed things to cause fear. Fear caused shrinking back, depression, nervous system dis regulation. It kills creativity and inspiration.

I ask this. If you had no media in your life at all, how would your perspective of the world change?

As far back as we know, there has always been a reason to fear in this dimension. Predators, war, tyrants, loved ones dying, etc. Nothing has changed, we are just made aware of it all now that we have media.
I was just in the iron belt at a historic iron furnace over the weekend in Ohio and saw photos of ALL of the surrounding forests leveled in the 1800s. They logged the earth bare. In so many places. Our beloved mts too are all regrowth. You can see photos in the history books of the mts with all of the trees gone.

That’s just one example. History is riddled with big time wrongs and intimate losses and trauma It is the world we live in. There is darkness AND light. (I wont get into that discussion here). Sometimes and some places, the scales tip in one direction more but it’s for the most part balanced. Most of us on this platform get to decide which we want to focus on, which we want to be a part of.

What if we all decided to a build better community, call out the darkness while holding the opposite and being that example. What if instead of scrolling to endless chem trails, prepare for 90 day power outage, starlink, tech take over, recalls, Epstein, that strange puppet president, etc. we see community gardens and art and people helping one another.

What if we put the screens down and met our neighbors and had fires together and danced and built community gardens and fed those who cant nourish themselves properly for whatever reason.

What if we stopped feeding them with our fear?

Thank you for reading my pondering triggered by this shirt I found.. 😁

We watched a session last fall where Cherokee elders from the Eastern Band (NC) spoke of how they used to tend to the forests. They didn’t leave them wild. They would burn when needed and would plant the food and medicine trees closer to home. The forests were cared for and gardened. All over the eastern US. Until others came and cut them all down.
The officials now “protect” the re-grown forests from us. Surely if a child is raised to be a part of the forest, in communion, they would respect it.
The land needs to be cared for again. And so do we.
Who’s with me? Collect those native food seeds. I’ve got enough paw paw, persimmon, and hazel nut to share.

Use it as a wall hanging and/or as a finger labyrinth. To slow your thinking, calm your mind, and find your center.
New to labyrinths? Watch my videos on my page. I have been walking them for a decade, having one at a forest school I worked at and another at the farm I love so deeply. This past year I have been incorporating them into my life on a regular basis as a sort of meditation and centering journey. I’ve traveled to so many beautiful labyrinths and received much insight, peace and inspiration.

There is so much wonder in this world. We have been desensitized in so many ways. Our moments filled with things to accomplish.
Have you seen the delicate beauty of the flower outside your door? The way the blossoms follow the sunlight? How the pollen clings to the honeybee to be dispersed throughout the local gardens? The colors reflected in it’s wings?

Much of my spring has been spent wandering the forests. I’ve been getting to know the native plants and flowers on a deeper level; learning their stories and secrets. Paper journals are being filled and the time to share draws near.

The gardens here at the cottage are in bloom with roses and peonies taking the stage at the moment. Comfrey’s little purple bells are feeding the honeybees and the first forget me not just opened her tiny blue petals.

What’s to come? We shall see. Adult life for me was packed full of hustling and bustling and filled with many traumatizing struggles and losses. Ive been navigating the path of healing, integrating, and carrying on for a couple of years now and this what Id like to bring to others. Refocusing my product line to support healing from trauma. Of all kinds.

Stay tuned.

THE SIREN OF THE FRENCH BROAD
$40

Made with 100% sheep wool

Refined this piece a bit and now it’s back on the marker. The first in my local legends of the land series.

Among the waters of one of the oldest rivers in the world, The French Broad, near Asheville, North Carolina, lives the immortal river siren. We do not know how long this has been her abode but the Cherokee warned of her ling ago.

It is said that If one who is weary or in despair sits beside the waters or utters a wish to leave this world, they will begin to hear a soft and exquisite music blending with the lapping of the waves.
The siren would slowly appear and seduce them into her arms with her song, before drowning them in the cold waters below.

In the 1840’s an epic poem was written about her by William Gilmore Simms called The Syren of the Tselica; A Tradition of the French Broad. You can hear a piece of it in my short video posted on my page and youtube channel.
