What Happens on Your First Day of Addiction Treatment?

Starting treatment can feel overwhelming, especially if you don't know what to expect.

Your first day is focused on helping you get comfortable and creating a plan that fits your needs. You'll meet with members of your treatment team, complete an assessment, review your medical and clinical history, and have the opportunity to ask questions.

Every person's treatment plan is different because every recovery journey is different.

Knowing what to expect can make taking the first step a little easier.

Does Insurance Cover Addiction Treatment?

One of the first questions people ask is whether their insurance will help pay for treatment.

The answer is often yes.

Many employer-sponsored health insurance plans include benefits for addiction treatment. Coverage depends on your individual plan, your clinical needs, and the level of care that's recommended.

At Asheville Recovery Center, we can verify your insurance benefits and explain your coverage before you begin treatment, so you understand your options from the start.

If you have questions about your insurance or treatment options, our team is here to help.

Please join us in welcoming our new Admissions Director, Marie Harrison!

We're excited to announce that Marie has joined Asheville Recovery Center as our new Admissions Director.

Marie brings a genuine passion for helping people take that first step toward recovery. Anyone who has worked in admissions knows that answering the phone isn't just about gathering information. It's often one of the most important conversations someone will ever have. Having someone who listens with compassion and understands what families are going through can make all the difference.

As Admissions Director, Marie will be leading our admissions team and helping ensure every person who reaches out to ARC is met with kindness, respect, and guidance from the very first call.

We're thrilled to have her on the team and can't wait for our clients, families, and referral partners to get to know her.

Welcome to the ARC family, Marie!

Today, we remember and honor the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country.

For many, Memorial Day can also bring heavy emotions and difficult memories.

From all of us at Asheville Recovery Center, we see you, we support you, and you are not alone.

Update: I’ve officially learned that giving AI the lazy prompt of “make a graphic of Hollan for his anniversary” was a terrible idea.

The first version we posted looked less like Hollan Steen and more like an imposter named Collin Green.

So… I deleted it.
Used a real photo.
And restored order to the universe.

Happy 7 years, Hollan.

And thank you for being a much better human than AI is at generating you.

Everyone relates to Punch for one reason.

We all cling to something when life feels overwhelming.

Some coping strategies help.
Some keep us stuck.

Real recovery means building something stronger than survival.

If you’re ready, we’re ready.
