New Moon in Virgo- Time to Tidy Up, Back to the Good Ol Basics, Grounded Awareness + Drive to Perfection
On September 10/11th, we have the industrious and mentally aware New Moon at 18 degrees of Virgo. New moons are all about a second chance. They represent new beginnings, starts and wiping the slate clean to begin again. Virgo, the 6th zodiac sign deals with order, organization, earthy awareness, intelligence, and cleanliness.
The New Moon in Virgo is here to offer us new ways to clean our mind, body and soul. No other sign is associated with cleanliness like the tidy and organized Virgo. I always find this new moon to be perfect as it's the end of the summer( here in the northern hemisphere) ( or winter in the southern hemisphere) and it is time to end the summer/winter extremes and move into a more holistic and grounded environment. La Luna, a new Virgo , is ready to help us get back to the basics around structures and well being routines that are rooted in common sense and practicality. The higher vibration of this New Moon will be tackling matters that might not be the sexiest or super fun but which offer us grounded stability and long term satisfaction. The lower vibration of this New Moon could be obsessive tendencies around perfection, over thinking that is rooted in self criticism and worry. The balance will be about fine tuning our bodies and environment with an extra level of awareness while channeling any worry or overthinking tendencies into acts of service and grace.
The New Moon in Virgo will be positively aspected by Mars, the planet of action, war and getting s**t done, who is currently in the sign of Cancer. While Mars is kind of weak atm, due to it being in detriment in the sign of Cancer, there is still positive support he provides to this new moon cycle. Mars in harmony with the New Moon will offer a boost of emotional sensitivity and protectiveness around our plans and ambitions. This is a great time as mentioned above to "cut away" who or what isn't making us feel safe and aligned. This will then create a new space where people, places and things that are aligned to our highest good can find us. Sports and activities connected to grounding our senses such as cooking, tai chi, yoga and any other aquatic workouts will be particularly favored now.
