The American Dental Association has urged Aetna to reconsider a recent announcement that it will discontinue issuing paper checks to out-of-network dentists. This change makes it difficult for providers to receive their choice of payment unless they join the network and may be in conflict with payment choice statutes in several states. This week Reham (my first employee at Root) will be leaving us to start her dental school path. I am so proud and so excited but so sad! She got into dental school out of state!! If you love her as much as we do, swing by and say your goodbye. Her last day is Tuesday.

Also another person leaving us is Rania. She is moving to DC to continue her pre dental path. We are so so sad to lose Rania but so excited for all that she will achieve. She will be joining my friends pediatric dental office up there so if you know anyone looking for a pediatric office up in DC area, go to the one Rania will be at because to know her is to love her.

I will be a ball of emotions this week at work. A proud leader but a sad one at the same time.

The number of times undiagnosed sleep apnea presents itself through findings in the mouth is astounding. Dentists are often among the first healthcare providers to recognize the warning signs. better and is real.
