LEXINGTON DISPENSARY OPENING 1/15!!!

Speakeasy Dispensary in Hamburg will be open from 10 am - 8 pm (or until supplies last) on January 15th for registered Kentucky medical cannabis cardholders.

A medical ma*****na dispensary is set to host its grand opening in Hamburg on Thursday, Jan. 15.

🎉 Wrapping Up BluEndo’s First Year — And Looking Ahead to 2026

As 2025 comes to a close, we’ve been reflecting on what an incredible first year this has been for BluEndo. When we opened our doors, our mission was simple: provide compassionate, evidence-based medical cannabis guidance to Kentuckians who deserve better options for relief.

What we learned this year has only strengthened that mission.

🔹 Kentuckians are ready for medical cannabis.
We’ve met patients from every corner of the state—people living with chronic pain, PTSD, anxiety, cancer-related symptoms, sleep problems, and so much more. Many had tried everything else. Many arrived discouraged. And many left feeling something they hadn’t felt in a long time: hope.

🔹 Patients want more than a certification. They want a plan.
One of the biggest lessons from our first year is that people aren’t just looking for a card—they’re looking for guidance. They want dosing help, product education, realistic expectations, and someone to troubleshoot with. That’s exactly what we’ve built BluEndo to provide. If you're looking for a quick and dirty card mill, you can definitely find those options for a fraction of our cost. But if you're looking for comprehensive cannabis guidance from someone with expertise and clinical experience, we're the clinic for you.

🔹 Kentucky’s medical cannabis program still has work to do.
2025 highlighted some real barriers patients face:
• The online application process is cumbersome and confusing, especially for older adults and anyone who isn’t tech-savvy.
• Dispensary access in the Commonwealth is scarce (only one active dispensary), leaving many Kentuckians without reasonable ways to obtain legal, regulated products.
• And without a home-grow option, patients who genuinely benefit from cannabis are left dependent on an incomplete infrastructure.

If Kentucky wants this program to truly serve patients, improving access—including adopting a home-grow program—must be part of the future. Patients deserve safe, affordable, predictable access to the medicine that works for them.

🔹 Looking ahead to 2026
Our goals for the coming year are clear:
• Expand patient education and support
• Continue building individualized treatment plans based on both science and lived experience
• Advocate for a more accessible, compassionate Kentucky cannabis program
• And most importantly, continue being the place patients can turn to when they need clarity, honesty, and real guidance

BREAKING - Cannabis Rescheduled to Schedule III: What This Means (and What It Doesn’t)

Today, President Trump signed an executive order directing that cannabis be moved from Schedule I to Schedule III under the federal Controlled Substances Act. While this is not federal legalization, it represents one of the most meaningful federal acknowledgements to date that cannabis has legitimate medical value.

Why this matters:
For more than 50 years, cannabis has been classified as a Schedule I substance — the same category as he**in — defined as having no accepted medical use and a high potential for abuse. This classification has long conflicted with both scientific evidence and real-world clinical experience.

Schedule III substances, by contrast, are recognized as having accepted medical use and a lower potential for misuse. Moving cannabis into this category aligns federal policy more closely with what physicians, researchers, and patients have observed for decades.

What rescheduling does:

-Acknowledges, at the federal level, that cannabis has medical utility
-Makes it easier to conduct high-quality medical and clinical research
-Reduces certain tax and regulatory barriers that have limited legitimate medical cannabis operations
-Signals a broader shift toward evidence-based cannabis policy

What rescheduling does not do:

-It does NOT legalize cannabis federally
-It does NOT override state cannabis laws
-It does NOT automatically expunge prior convictions
-It does NOT mean cannabis is without risks or appropriate for everyone

Advocacy organizations, including NORML, have emphasized that while rescheduling is an important step forward, it is not the final destination. NORML’s leadership has noted that recognizing cannabis’ medical value is “long overdue,” while also stressing that full descheduling would ultimately provide clearer, more consistent policy nationwide.

At BluEndo, our position remains unchanged: cannabis is a therapeutic tool — not a cure-all — and it should be approached with the same clinical judgment, patient education, and individualized decision-making as any other medical therapy.

Rescheduling does not end the conversation, but it does move it in a more honest, science-based direction. As always, we remain focused on helping patients navigate medical cannabis responsibly, safely, and within the law.

FINALLY!

Governor Beshear announced on Thursday that Kentucky’s first dispensary will open in Beaver Dam, Kentucky on Saturday.

Good news overall for Kentuckians, but we’ve got a long way to go. Supplies will run out FAST (one dispensary to serve about 20,000 patients - do the math), but this is a much needed first step to make cannabis accessible for Kentuckians who need it most.

BluEndo has been in contact with the Office of Medical Cannabis regarding how the dispensary rollout will affect Governor Beshear’s executive order allowing Kentucky cardholders to possess and use cannabis purchased at out-of-state dispensaries. We’ve been advised that the executive order will remain in place until a “reasonable number” of dispensaries are accessible for Kentuckians.

Exciting times in the bluegrass!
