☀️ IT'S UV SAFETY MONTH! (July 1–31) ☀️
Did you know UV rays can damage your skin in as little as 15 minutes — even on a cloudy day? ☁️
July is UV Safety Awareness Month, and it's the perfect reminder to build sun-smart habits that protect your skin for life. Here's what you need to know:
🔆 THE FACTS
UV radiation is a leading cause of skin cancer, the most common cancer in the U.S.
UV rays are strongest between 10 AM–4 PM, even when it's overcast.
Damage adds up over time — daily protection matters, not just beach days.
🧴 5 WAYS TO PROTECT YOURSELF
1️⃣ Apply broad-spectrum SPF 30+ sunscreen daily, and reapply every 2 hours
2️⃣ Seek shade, especially during peak UV hours
3️⃣ Wear UV-blocking sunglasses to protect your eyes
4️⃣ Cover up with lightweight, long-sleeved clothing and a wide-brim hat
5️⃣ Check the UV Index in your local weather app before heading out

🌟 Our residents enjoyed a fun-filled afternoon with an interactive musical performance from Frostfire Summer Theatre! The actors are currently on the road promoting their summer production of Come From Away and shared songs such as “Sweet Caroline,” “God Bless the USA,” and “Only in America.” 🇺🇸
The residents had so much fun joining in by using shakers and scarves to the beat of the music!

❤️🤍💙Our residents had a wonderful week celebrating the Fourth of July!

🇺🇸 On Tuesday, we crowned our new King and Queen, Wilbur and Fern Knoll, followed by a fun happy hour celebration. Congratulations, Wilbur and Fern!

🎶 Thursday afternoon, we were treated to beautiful patriotic music by local musicians Dawn and Dena Goehring and Kris and Thomas Haas. The residents truly enjoyed the wonderful performance! A big thank you to all of you for sharing your time and talents with us. Following the music, everyone enjoyed delicious patriotic donuts made by Ashley Super Valu. Thank you for the festive treats!

🌞 With beautiful weather on Friday, our residents spent time relaxing on the patio, enjoying golf cart rides, and taking in all the excitement as the town prepared for the weekend's Fourth of July festivities.

🥳 On Saturday morning, everyone enjoyed sitting outside and watching the Fourth of July parade. It was a wonderful week filled with laughter, music, delicious treats, sunshine, and celebrating our community. We hope everyone had a safe and happy Fourth of July!
