The storm that was supposed to go around us, came right for us! And it poured ALL NIGHT! My kids and I were dancing in a light sprinkle - doing our own version of a rain dance. The storm was meant to miss us. We wanted it to hit us. And after 10-15 seconds a HUGE lightning struck right above us BUT didn’t have the sound of the crack OR thunder. It was literally acknowledgment that we were being heard because within two minutes we felt the wind shift and it came right over us and rained all night. ALL. NIGHT. This is not the first time I’ve summoned the weather. And it certainly won’t be the last.

I was recently invited to speak about some of my experiences with PMDD on Melissa Bime’s podcast.

I am so thankful for the opportunity and the kindness of Melissa. Talking about how a disorder shaped my life in some of the most atrocious ways is not easy. But if any of my words help others, it also heals me in the process. Win-win.
