Race ready.
Sort of.
5 years ago I had this dialed in. I knew how to train, what to eat, what my pace would be, how to recover.
But 3 kids and a Celiac diagnosis later and it's all so unfamiliar to me. My body still feels foreign. I'm running half the distance I used to, and it's harder. It's a challenge for my self esteem.

And

I'm grateful for those 3 babies, for the support of my husband and family, for physical therapy, for the trust in my body that I've learned through birth work, the opportunity to run for pleasure and not from bombs...

Carrying so much in my heart as I run today.
