A week ago today I had to say goodbye to my sweet boy, Goose. There are no words to express how grateful I am to have been his person the last 6 years. He changed my life forever in best ways. Because of Goose I learned about bodywork and energy healing. I learned how to show up for others even when it’s hard. I learned to accept and love myself on a deeper level. I became aware of emotions and trauma trapped in my own body. I learned about communication with horses in a different way. I learned that riding isn’t the only way to have a relationship with a horse. My love for horses became reinvigorated. Because of Goose I became a better human.
Every day I would thank him for being here with me and being my teacher and a best friend. He was with me through some of the hardest times in my life so far. He was always my constant during the chaos. I will never forget the lessons he taught me and the unconditional love he showed me.
Thank you to Katrina Sanders for opening your home to us and making it possible for Goosey to live with friends in a beautiful pasture. He loves your boys so much 🩵
Thank you to Rachel and Katrina both for being there with us through his last day and night. It was a brutal one and I would have been lost without you 🩵
