We’re Moving Next Door!

We’re excited to announce that Atchison Eye Center is moving into our new location right next door at 729 Commercial Street!

To make the move, our offices will be closed Thursday, August 20 and Friday, August 21. We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your patience while we get everything moved and set up.

We’ll reopen on Monday, August 24 at our new location:

✨ Meet the Staff Monday ✨

This week we’re introducing Amy, our Optical Manager!

Amy has been a valued member of the Atchison Eye Center family since 2012. With years of experience, she knows our frame inventory inside and out and is always happy to help patients find glasses that fit their style, needs, and budget.

If you’ve met Amy, you know she has a great sense of humor and a way of making everyone feel comfortable. She treats our patients like friends, and her friendly personality and expert knowledge make the glasses shopping experience fun and stress-free.

Outside of work, Amy is married and the proud mom of three daughters and Lolli (aka grandma) to one grandson, who keeps life fun and busy!

We’re so grateful to have Amy on our team! Be sure to say hello the next time you’re in the office!

👀 Eye Myth or Fact?

Myth: Sitting too close to the TV permanently damages your eyes.

✅ Myth! While it can make your eyes feel tired or strained, it doesn’t cause permanent damage. If you’re constantly moving closer to see the TV, though, it might be time for an eye exam!

📣MEET THE STAFF MONDAY📣

🌟 Meet Betsy, our Office Manager at Atchison Eye Center! 🌟

With more than 20 years in eye care and over a decade at Atchison Eye Center, Betsy is a familiar face who helps keep our office running smoothly every day.

Betsy began her career in eye care in 2004 and joined Atchison Eye Center in 2010. Over the years, she has earned multiple certifications in the optometric field and has gained experience in nearly every area of the practice. From helping patients and navigating insurance to assisting in optical and managing daily operations, she helps keep everything running smoothly behind the scenes.

Betsy lives in Troy with her husband and their three dogs. She is the proud mom of two daughters and is excited to be welcoming two granddaughters later this year! She loves being part of a close-knit community and helping patients receive the best possible care.

This week we’re introducing the doctor behind Atchison Eye Center, Dr. Chris Franken!

Dr. Franken began serving the Atchison community in 2007 and has been dedicated to providing exceptional eye care ever since. Over the years, he has built lasting relationships with patients and families throughout the area and takes pride in helping our community see its best.

Outside of caring for patients, Dr. Franken enjoys life in Troy, Kansas, with his wife, Kim. They are proud parents of three children.

We’re grateful for Dr. Franken’s commitment to our patients and community and are proud to have him leading the team at Atchison Eye Center!

Our new reception desk is officially taking shape, and we couldn’t be more excited! It’s gone from plywood and blueprints to beautiful stonework, and we’re one step closer to welcoming you into our updated space.

We can’t wait for you to see the finished product. Good things are worth the wait! 👓💙
