AllWays Community Health Center (ACHC) is an FQHC providing medical, dental, and behavioral health services with compassion, dignity, and accessibility.

Serving Atchison, Leavenworth, and Topeka communities with care you can trust. The Atchison Community Health Clinic is a nonprofit, community-based organization that provides compassionate, quality healthcare for all. We accept Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance as well as patients who do not have any insurance. We offer the following services: Medical Clinic, Women's Clinic, Behavioral Health, Physical Therapy, Dental Clinic, Health Education, Case Management, and Outreach and Enrollment.

At AllWays Community Health Center, we're especially proud to celebrate Deste Baptiste, DNP, our Medical Director, and Violet Gomes, DNP!

Deste and Violet bring so much more than their clinical knowledge and expertise to our team. Their kindness, commitment to our patients, and passion for making quality healthcare accessible to ALL make a lasting difference every day.

October is Health Literacy Month!

Understanding your health is an important part of taking care of YOU!

Health literacy is about having the information, resources, and confidence to make informed decisions about your health and well-being. Whether it's understanding a diagnosis, knowing how to take your medications, or asking questions during an appointment, your health matters, and so does your understanding of it!

At AllWays Community Health Center, we believe healthcare should be accessible, understandable, and empowering for EVERYONE!

A few simple reminders:
✅ Ask questions! No question is too small.
✅ Speak up if something doesn't make sense.
✅ Know your medications and treatment options.
✅ Take an active role in your health and wellness.

This month, we are proud to shine the spotlight on someone who truly has one of the biggest hearts around — Carrie Jones, our Referral Coordinator!

Carrie's kindness, compassion, and genuine care for others shine through in everything she does. Whether it's supporting our patients, helping her coworkers, Carrie always goes above and beyond.

She is dedicated, knowledgeable, dependable, and always one of the first to step in and lend a helping hand, no matter the task. Her willingness to help and the heart she puts into her work make a difference every single day.

What a busy weekend of health fairs and community connections!

Friday, we kicked things off at Benedictine College School of Nursing, connecting with students, faculty, staff, and community organizations! One of our very own providers, Dr. Violet Gomes, DNP, who also serves as a nursing instructor at Benedictine, helped make the day a wonderful experience. The nursing students did a fantastic job sharing valuable information on diabetes management, blood pressure, urinary tract health, and so much more! It was inspiring to see the next generation of nursing professionals in action!❤️🖤🩺

Saturday, we joined the Amberwell Atchison Health Fair at Atchison Elementary School! What a fantastic opportunity for families to access free health screenings, explore community resources, and connect with local organizations. From Atchison Gymnastics showing off their talents to the helicopter, fire truck, EMTs, and more, there was something for everyone! 🩵💚

We are so grateful to be part of a community that comes together to support health and well-being. Events like these allow us to connect with our neighbors, share more about ACHC, and build stronger, healthier communities.

A big THANK YOU to Benedictine College, its Nursing Department, and Amberwell Health for hosting these wonderful events and inviting us to be part of them!

Thank you to the Atchison Area Chamber of Commerce for this recognition and for celebrating the people, businesses, and organizations that make our Atchison community so special!

Congratulations to our fellow nominee, Atchison Farmers' Market! A big THANK YOU to the Shawnee County CDDO - Community Developmental Disabilities Organization and Kansas Department for Children and Families in Shawnee County for hosting such a wonderful Resource Fair!

AllWays Community Health Center was grateful to be part of the event and connect with individuals, families, and fellow community organizations. Opportunities like this allow us to share resources, build partnerships, and help connect people with the care and support they need.

This year's “Whimsical Confections” theme brought an extra touch of sweetness, creativity, and fun to the event, with participating vendors and sponsors bringing the theme to life through their booth decorations!

And we were especially honored to receive Tara’s Choice Award for our booth decorations! 🏆🩷 🦄🍭🧁 What a sweet surprise and a fun recognition that made an already wonderful event even more memorable for our AllWays team!

Thank you for bringing so many valuable resources together in one place and for all you do to support the Shawnee County community.
