Evening movement, when the sun still shines, but the moon is rising. This is my favorite time to be outside. Transitional moments are something I seek, yet I benefit from stability as well. I’ve come to accept that I thrive off of adaptation, the unknown and the undiscovered. The air and fire elements need earth to hold them so they don’t grow to be uncontrolled, depleting and all-consuming. Yet, the earth needs them as well, to clear space for new growth and new life. I find stability through air and fire, the movement of my body and my breath.

✨ August 3, 2026 ✨

There is a powerful, visionary current pulling at the edges of the atmosphere today... something within us is shifting from the soft, drifting mists of yesterday's sanctuary and preparing to step into a bold, untamed new horizon.

The Moon spends her final hours in boundless, mystical Pisces before making her transition into fiery, independent Aries late in the day. As she prepares to cross that threshold, the heavy veil of emotional processing begins to lift, replaced by a sudden spark of vitality and a quiet, fierce readiness to move forward. If the past few days under the Pisces Moon asked you to surrender, rest, and heal in the deep waters of your intuition, the impending Aries Moon invites you to rise, shake off the dust, and remember your own strength.

Meanwhile, Mercury retrograde in the deep, watery sanctuary of Cancer continues its backward journey through our ancestral memory-keepers. While Aries wants to leap ahead and break new ground, Mercury gently reminds us to check our foundations, making sure we are carrying our hard-earned wisdom rather than old emotional baggage. This delicate interplay between fiery courage and watery introspection asks us to honor the healing we just moved through without rushing the process.

The grand background architecture of the cosmos remains a powerful canvas of transformation, as Jupiter in radiant Leo continues to expand our capacity for joy, authenticity, and creative fire, directly facing Pluto in Aquarius. We are being asked to bridge our private spiritual evolution with our outward, sovereign power.

Today is a bridge between release and renewal. Let the approaching Aries spark warm your spirit, trust the deep soul-work you have just navigated, and allow yourself to feel the first subtle flickers of your own momentum returning.

You are waking up to a wider, braver version of your own life. Let yourself step into it.

We are excited to welcome Sallie back to Yoga at the Point!

Sallie approaches both yoga and life with an energetic and passionate optimism, and seeks to empower people through compassion, joy and understanding.

Her flow classes are challenging and her Yin classes are relaxing. All of her classes combine movement and philosophy to cultivate both playfulness and empowerment. She also sometimes incorporates storytelling and Āyurveda into her classes. Whether students need support with mobility, grief, depression or something else, Sallie particularly loves to offer one-on-one therapeutic yoga sessions that are catered to each person's needs.

When she is not teaching or practicing yoga, Sallie enjoys reading and writing, crocheting, practicing her harmonium and creating personalized tea mixes. Her favorite pastimes, however, are spending time with her family and her chihuahua-pitbull mix, Rumi, aka The Ruminator.

Hanumanasana is more than an impressive “pose.” It’s a reflection of our ability to be flexible, not just in our bodies, but in our lives. It’s the embodiment of our desire to learn and the ability to reach out across ideologies, belief systems, and personal feelings in order to find compassion and understanding.

I’m aging. I see it as an adventure. Every morning, I wake up to a new body with new sensations, new limitations and new strengths. Aging reminds me that this life is an education that we can choose to immerse ourselves into. Every moment of this life is beautiful, every sadness, every angry fit, every intimate moment, every smile. Each moment is brand new.
