Psychological distance can be an important part of relief for our ketamine patients. Sometimes, we need to step back from what we’re experiencing and look at our situation from a different perspective. That little bit of distance can make it easier to process difficult experiences, recognize patterns, and approach challenges with a fresh outlook.

For some, this shift in perspective can be life changing, helping them move forward rather than feeling stuck in what they’ve been through.

Many new patients worry about what kind of changes they might experience with ketamine therapy, especially when they hear the word "reset."

Ketamine therapy is never intended to change who you are. Its purpose is to help you reconnect with the person you have always been. When we talk about a "reset," we're referring to increased neuroplasticity, your brain's ability to form new pathways that support healthier ways of managing life's challenges, not a change to your personality or what makes you, you.

Walking alongside our patients through that journey is one of the greatest privileges of what we do. Watching hope return and seeing someone rediscover parts of themselves they thought were gone is something we never take for granted.
