We are so excited to welcome Star Bridges, LPC to The Banyan Tree family!
Star brings 22 years of experience working with adults navigating addiction, trauma, PTSD, and anxiety. He came to this work through his own recovery journey and has spent over two decades helping others find their way through. He also has a deep connection to veterans, having served in the US Army Infantry himself.
Star sees clients in person in Athens and via telehealth across Georgia. If you or someone you know has been carrying something heavy and is ready to take that first step, Star is now accepting new clients.

For a long time, people had to struggle with their mental health in secret. It was a lonely path to walk. We are so grateful to live in a time where that is finally changing. At our practice, we believe that healing shouldn't happen in the dark or all by yourself. We’ve created a peaceful space right here in Athens because we believe everyone deserves to feel safe, understood, and supported by their community.

April was a month of big wins and even bigger milestones at The Banyan Tree! 🏒🍿

We kicked things off with an office outing to cheer on the . It was a total blast having our friends and family join us on the ice to celebrate a home-team win and meet Claudius the mascot! 🦞🧊

Back at the office, the celebration continued with a popcorn party for our incredible spring graduates. We are "Popping with Pride" for these four and the amazing work they do:

🎓 Shannon Power – Ph.D.
🎓 Nicole Arendt & Nataleigh Gadell – Graduate Students
🎓 Madeline Ashby – Undergraduate

We are so lucky to have such a dedicated, hard-working team. Congratulations to our grads, and thank you to everyone who made this month so special!
