We are excited to focus our efforts on serving those in need through our Fall 2026 and 2027 There Is Hope multidisciplinary events.

After much thought and prayer, we have decided that the next HUHO Gala will be held in 2028.

Since 2011, we have occasionally taken a year off to rest, reflect, and refocus, and this feels like the right time to do so. We look forward to continuing our mission in new ways while preparing for an exciting return of the Gala in 2028.

We just wrapped up sending out the final round of checks from our 2026 HUHO Gala Season of Giving!

This year, a total of $28,500 was distributed to four missions serving people both locally and internationally.

Food For Children received the largest local grant ever awarded through HUHO: $15,000 toward their box truck replacement project. To help meet this significant need, our team secured more than 28 sponsors, over 40 unique silent auction items, 20 raffle baskets, and a successful 50/50 raffle. Our featured artist also generously created a beautiful charcoal sketch, "Come to the Table," to present to Food For Children, along with a travel bag for their president, our 2026 Local Citizen of the Year.

As we reflect on this year's Season of Giving, we are so grateful to New Life Home, Butterflies Are Free to Fly, and the Cairo Women's Wellness Center for sharing updates, photos, letters of acknowledgment, and stories of impact with our board, volunteers, donors, sponsors, and guests. Their ongoing encouragement, communication, and partnership helped connect our supporters directly to the impact of their generosity and strengthened our volunteers throughout the year.

Seeing the tangible difference these gifts are making in the lives of those they serve is one of the greatest joys of our work.

To every attendee, sponsor, donor, volunteer, prayer partner, and board member: thank you. Because of your generosity, communities are being strengthened, practical needs are being met, and hope is being shared both here at home and around the world.

As we close another season, we are filled with gratitude for the many people and mission partners who made this year possible. Thank you for allowing us to be part of your stories.

Stay tuned as we prayerfully consider what the future holds for HUHO!

We have a beautiful note from our International Citizen of the Year and Mission Founder, Lesly Nijaar:

The Women’s Wellness Center would like to truly say thank you and extend my deepest gratitude to each and every one of you who attended, supported, and contributed to our ministry. Your generosity and presence made a meaningful difference, and I couldn’t be more happy for your commitment to help others.
Because of your support, we were able to use the funds to provide essential food supplies to Sudanese families in need. Our team personally visited these families, ensuring that contributions directly reached those who are in need and struggling the most. In addition to the food. This support has deeply impacted people and has been life changing for many.
Your generosity has reached far beyond financial aid, it has touched many hearts. It has brought relief, comfort, and hope to families facing many intense difficulties. At this time, many Sudanese individuals are living in fear, as even going out for basic needs like food can put them at risk of being arrested and later on deported back to Sudan, where conditions have become very dangerous due to ongoing war and political instability.
Your help has made things a lot easier for the Sudanese community in Egypt. You have provided not only resources, but also a sense of compassion and security during a time when it is most needed.
All of this has been done through the love and guidance of God, which continues to inspire and build our mission every day. This would not have been possible without the partnership and support of HUHO Foundation, who has made a great impact for this ministry.
I look forward to continuing this partnership in the future, working together and bringing hope to all those who are in need.

A HUGE Shout Out to the Bank of New Hampshire for sending us $1,000 dollars to help us help others today! We are just so blessed and honored to have your generous grant come in today! We will now be able to joyfully give a 2nd round of donation directly to the 3 mission that continue to need ongoing support!

KW Charity and update from Food for Food For Children's Truck! I am so proud to see our community CONTINUE to give and support the HUHO Foundation’s collaborative vision to multiply impact. Here is an update from this year’s Gala mission giving — well over $25,000 has been distributed directly to missions making a difference both locally and internationally!
Remember: 100% of the night’s proceeds are donated directly to missions.
• $15,000 to Food For Children, Inc.
• $3,500 to New Life Women & Children’s Home, plus an additional collaborative partnership providing another $500 freezer donation to complete their project
• $6,000 total to Butterflies are Free to Fly (including $1,900 in sound system equipment) to help launch their children’s mission
• $3,000 to the Cairo Women’s Wellness Clinic in Egypt to provide food support for displaced families from Southern Sudan
We are meeting this Sunday to roll out our new policies and mission application process for 2027!
