I just wanna say….”I’m BACK!”

✨After almost 3 years of returning to corporate work, I made the difficult decision to leave my job in biomedical research and get back to the things that mean the most to me. Babies, Birth, and my Family. God placed several visions on my heart and instructed me to Trust His plan for my life. In this season, I am leaning more in to my purpose — just elevated a bit. Since I took my last doula client in 2023, I have birthed many versions of myself and learned so many lessons about what I want and what I want my life to look like.

📣I am HAPPY to say that I am opening up my books again to accept postpartum doula clients beginning November 2025! Postpartum care is one of my professional expertise and I truly enjoy caring for new mothers and the family in a wholistic way. My work has always been deeply centered on family and spiritual connection. I am so happy and honored to be in a space where I can offer these services again!

For the rest of 2025, I will have LIMITED postpartum packages available to families residing in Metro Atlanta. In 2026, the price will be going up! So, reserve your today! LINK IN BIO!!

Greetings Yeye’s Village! I am raising funds to attend the Liberation Birthways Delegation—a transformative, community-rooted maternal health exchange in Liberia, West Africa. This program brings together birth justice advocates, midwives, doulas, public health professionals, and maternal health leaders for a 7-day cultural immersion and global collaboration. Liberia is currently ranked the 5th most dangerous place in the world to give birth, highlighting an urgent maternal health crisis. At the same time, Black birthing people in the U.S. face disproportionately high maternal mortality rates. These realities reflect a shared struggle across the African diaspora—one that calls for transnational solutions rooted in cultural connection and collective advocacy.

Through this journey, I will: 🌍 Participate in cultural and historical immersion 🏥 Engage in hospital observations and clinical grand rounds 🎓 Visit midwifery schools and community clinics 🤝 Collaborate with Liberian birth workers and public health leaders 🗣️ Contribute to policy recommendations for Liberia’s Ministry of Health The experience culminates in sharing strategies and insights that contribute to sustainable, community-led improvements in maternal and child health. Why I Need Your Support This opportunity is not funded, and I am committed to making it happen! Your support will help cover: • Lodging • Round-trip travel to Liberia • Local Transportation, meals, and cultural heritage excursions. Every gift—whether $25 or $500—helps bring this vision closer to reality. I will be fundraising until October 1, 2025. By helping send me to Liberia, you’re not just supporting me—you’re investing in a global movement to protect and uplift Black birthing people everywhere. Thank you for believing in this mission and walking with me on this journey. With deep gratitude, Aaliyah

September is NICU Awareness Month! 💛💚

Fun fact: I was born at 26 weeks. My oldest son was born at 23 weeks and my youngest was born at 35 weeks! We are all NICU babies and I am so thankful for the incredible nurses, respiratory therapists, neonatologists and other specialists that were involved in our care with each pregnancy! Shoutout to all the NICU parents - this is a journey that is not easy to go through but our NICU warriors are God’s toughest little soldiers. For sure. 💚

Welcome to the world Baby Zahir!💙💙

I promised I would tell this mama’s amazing story so here it goes! Ashley carries “small” babies. She is a small woman so I was not concerned. We discussed this at our very first consultation together. Her OBs heavily coerced and even threatened her with possibility of stillbirth due to “IUGR” or fetal growth restriction. Anybody been here before?

Her doctors used all the fear tactics in the book in order to force her induce her labor preterm. Around the 3rd time that Ashley did not show up for induction, her doctors continued to threaten her by documenting in her chart that her placenta was not working properly, and her baby needed to be born ASAP. 😒😒😒 We called the for what it was! Ashley successfully declined a coerced induction THREE times during her pregnancy. As a miracle, She went into labor naturally literally the day of her scheduled induction and pushed out her baby naturally medication free that same evening. !!!

I am so proud of her. She shifted when she needed to and stuck to her intuition the entire time. I was there to enhance her voice of reason and always provided her with evidence based information so she could make for her care. She was empowered, educated and she trusted her body, her baby and her ability to birth despite what her doctors said. Her baby boy was born perfectly healthy with absolutely ZERO issues or signs of fetal growth restriction. He was awake, alert and ready to nurse immediately after birth. Her placenta was absolutely perfect and full of vitality.

has ended on a great note! Congratulations to Ashley, Zed and the entire family.
