When we think of public figures like Britney Spears, Halle Barry, Shakira, Cardi B, Megan Thee Stallion, we see examples of this attempted humbling on a large scale. No one would know who Kevin Federline is without Britney — and that’s the revealing part of all of this — these types can trap even the brightest, strongest women into toxic cycles because social conditioning compels women to believe in fairytale love. Pregnancy and marriage are the finish line for a narcissist.
Before marriage, a narcissist can act like a completely healthy, normal, loving person. They can become the most charming partner, the most caring partner, and everything you ever wanted in a relationship.

But after marriage, the cracks start showing. Pregnancy, however, removes the mask completely. Because now they feel they no longer need to perform. They know a baby is in the picture. They know how much empathy you have for your child. They know you will keep trying to stay because you do not want your child to grow up without a father’s love.

And if they have already damaged your career or made you financially dependent, leaving becomes even harder.

This is how sadistic narcissists are. They do not just trap you emotionally. They trap you through marriage, pregnancy, motherhood, money, and your own love for your child.

They are: treating someone with Criticism, Defensiveness, Contempt and Stonewalling. Sound familiar? ..
The narcissist does this habitually and strategically in order to destroy and control you....and the new supply who soon will be experiencing the devaluation phase. It'll start with criticism, then move on to treating them with contempt, and then stonewalling, and any attempt to resolve problems with be met with defensiveness, not love.
