Many of you may have seen the recent news about an unlicensed senior care home being shut down in Roswell. Situations like this are deeply concerning and heartbreaking for the families involved.

As someone who works locally helping families navigate senior living decisions, I want to emphasize that reputable placement professionals only work with licensed, regulated communities that meet state standards for safety, staffing, and resident care.

Unfortunately, when families are under pressure to find care quickly, unlicensed homes can sometimes present themselves as an option. That’s why working with trusted professionals and thoroughly vetting communities is so important.

There are many excellent senior living communities throughout our area that provide compassionate, high-quality care for older adults. My thoughts are with the residents and families affected by this situation.
