We spend much of our lives, looking past what is right in front of us. Mindfulness is, in many ways, the practice of looking again. When we slow down and pay attention, ordinary things reveal their depth. We begin to notice beauty where we once saw routine. We become curious. We reconnect with the richness that has been present all along. Perhaps the extraordinary life we seek isn’t somewhere else. Perhaps it is hiding in the ordinary moments we rush past every day.
