An enlarged heart, also called cardiomegaly, is a finding not a diagnosis. It can happen for several reasons, including high blood pressure, heart muscle problems, or valve disease.
The important step is finding why the heart is enlarged and checking how well it works.
‎An echocardiogram may help evaluate heart structure and function. Treatment depends on the underlying cause.

Heartburn and a heart attack can sometimes feel surprisingly similar but they are very different emergencies. Burning chest discomfort after eating may suggest heartburn, while pressure, squeezing, or discomfort with sweating, nausea, shortness of breath, or pain spreading to the arm, jaw, back, or shoulder may signal a heart attack.

The important part? You cannot always tell the difference based on symptoms alone. If chest discomfort is new, severe, persistent, or you’re unsure, seek emergency medical care immediately.

❤️ Heart Fluttering? Know What Your Heart May Be Telling You

WHAT THAT FLUTTER MAY MEAN

1️⃣ Stress can trigger heart flutters
2️⃣ Caffeine may make them noticeable
3️⃣ Poor sleep can increase palpitations

KNOW WHEN TO PAY ATTENTION

4️⃣ Notice when your flutters happen
5️⃣ Track triggers, timing, and symptoms
6️⃣ Mention frequent episodes to your doctor

SUPPORT YOUR HEART HEALTH

7️⃣ Stay hydrated throughout your day
8️⃣ Limit excess caffeine and stimulants
9️⃣ Seek care with chest pain

❤️ Heart fluttering can feel surprising, but it doesn't always mean something is seriously wrong.

Stress, caffeine, poor sleep, dehydration, medications, and changes in heart rhythm can all contribute to palpitations.

The key is to notice the pattern: When does it happen? How long does it last? What triggers it? Are there other symptoms?

If palpitations keep happening, are new for you, or come with chest pain, fainting, severe shortness of breath, or significant dizziness, seek medical evaluation.

Your body gives you information. Learning to listen can help you take better care of your heart. ❤️

Save this for later and share it with someone who experiences heart flutters.
