A huge step forward for autism safety. 💙
Ohio has officially signed the Joshua Alert into law, creating a dedicated emergency alert system for missing children with autism and developmental disabilities. The legislation was inspired by the tragic loss of Joshua Al-Lateef Jr., a nonverbal child with autism, and aims to mobilize first responders and communities more quickly when a child goes missing. 
At Achievements ABA, we know that wandering and elopement can be a serious safety concern for many families. We applaud the advocates, lawmakers, and families who worked tirelessly to make this legislation a reality. Every child deserves to be protected, and every minute matters when a child is missing.
