“The Rooster Who Would Not Be Quiet!” By Carmen Agra Deedy is one of my favorite children’s books. Written in English, it is the inspiring story of a little rooster who, against the wishes of the ill-tempered mayor, speaks for those who can’t speak for themselves. It has the occasional use of Spanish words such as: gallito (rooster), Paz (peace), claro (of course), adios (good bye). This book is filled with colorful illustrations and uses onomatopoeia in a fun repetitive way throughout the book. Highly recommend this book for both the plot and illustrations!

Hi friends! I have discovered a passion for writing children’s bilingual picture books! I have written several books and have many ideas waiting to get on paper. I have started the process of querying literary agents and publishing houses with the hopes of getting these books into the hands of young children everywhere!
