Apex Max

Two of our residents Trent and Richie are thriving in projects associated with Nirvana Connect and are on the road decommissioning old telecom devices for Lumen. We have Alton O. also thriving in various jobs. He created his own opportunities with us and other companies. Other graduates are on ATT and Verizon projects. We continue not to be satisfied with the bare minimum standards in recovery. We want our residents to seize the moment and aim high. Learn how to handle stress and pressure of going after big goals. We are proud of these guys.

We make the extra effort to get folks to live in nice homes at Apex and go after a higher level of jobs thanks to our network of friends in different businesses. We have provided opportunities through our network for folks in different trades.

WIth the help of our non profit partner, Apex Living, we have successfully gotten most of the men;s house members certified in first aid/CPR, BBP, OSHA 10, and many other certs related to workplace requirements that make them more marketable for certain kind of jobs. For a small program like ours. this is an achievement to be proud of.

In the past, Apex Max has helped identify bright talents to invest in and make their post recovery dreams come true. I can't think of many sober livings that do that. THat's what separates us from the many other sober livings. We also invest in a high quality living situation instead of going with run of the mill apartments.

Nirvana Connect (www.nirvanaconn.com) which shares the same owner as Apex MAx has hired at one time or the other on a part time or full time basis nearly 10 of their past residents. Nirvana Connect is a fast growing telecom company which rose from the ashes of United Telecom Systems which was an experiment in investing in two of our own past graduates that lost their way post recovery. United Telecom grew into a company that earned 14M over a two year period from 2022-2023. Unfortunately an industry downturn coupled with the greed and lack of adherance to a strict recovery lifestyle led to the downfall of the company. IN a way, the downfall led to a better outcome which was the birth of Nirvana Connect. Just like I got rid of toxic people in my network, our graduates can enhance their success by steering way from similar toxic people in their network

The lesson I wanted to impart was not to give up after a catastrophic mistake. Assess what went wrong. Accept the fact that not every addict is a victim. If an addict doesn't want to change their ways , move on and help someone else. We are getting smarter at spending our resoiurces to help folks because the idea is not just barely making it . That's just the first step.

Nirvana Connect's mission is not only to be a company that delivers a top notch service, but it is also to provide second chances to folks with potential regardless of their background. In the process, nothing will be handed out. YOu have to earn your way and pay your dues before you take advantage of the rewards you get.

We teach our residents that they need to curb impulsive decisions. You see a lot of residents that waste a lot of money because they are unwilling to change how they spend their money. While it is not exclusive to addicts, addicts can ill afford to waste resources because of how many bridges they have burned in the past.

We have had numerous success stories with the Apex and Nirvana collaboration. If you are a company that is frustrated with the lack of enough quality employees, reach out to Apex Max. Apex has worked with other employers not affiliated with us to provide stable employees with accountability such as regular drug screens and reporting on any tardiness or absenteeism. We are going to be instrumental in helping our non profit partner APEX LIVING start a staffing agency arm because of the success our methods have had. Everyone has something to offer.

Was in a McDonald’s drive thru for 15 min with no movement . Was trapped when I wanted to leave because of the cars behind me . Finally the car in front of me moved allowing me to escape out of there without an order. The excuse was they were short staffed with only 3 in there .

Funny , many of these same type of places jerk around my residents with lack of hours and yet they get short staffed . You get the kind of employees you deserve when you treat them like crap .

We have tried to help retailers around us with our ability to provide oversight on absenteeism and sobriety. One or two have taken our folks and prospered. The others who didn’t, continue to have issues .

This month , Apex Max is 7 years old. What started off as a dare and a challenge turned out to be something bigger than I envisioned.

This continues to be a tough field with a low long term success rate . However , I am pleased with how stable our resident population has been in recent months which is the result of tireless work by my staff - John Butler , Leann Burton and Al Wunder . Scott Horowitz is our outreach director and has been instrumental in getting connections developed with many organizations and outfits like Williams House, Good Landing , Cobb Outpatient Detox, etc. and the latest collaboration with Mohammad Sanu.

We evolved from apartments in Sandy Springs to owning our own houses in clean neighborhoods in Roswell. I am pretty confident our female resident house is one of the finest sober houses in all of georgia.

With our large staff to resident ratio, we offer personalised attention unmatched at our price level.

We continue to make every effort to improve. We are not content with just graduating folks through a program. Just one look at how management teams and workforces around the country operate , you can see the shortage of employees dealing successfully with addiction or mental health or family related issues. I feel sober living homes have to evolve to nurture not just folks to get sober but improve their character and behavior.

That means our style has to evolve . The economy has been a mystery in the post pandemic era. There are opportunities to succeed but it will require creativity, reliability , commitment and persistence. We hope to help you improve in those areas.

A big thxnk you to sll the residents that played a part in our success.

We will have our annual party soon. Details to follow.
