Su***de Prevention Month is also a time to recognize those who have lost someone to su***de. 💜
Grief after su***de can be incredibly complex. Alongside sadness and longing, you may experience anger, guilt, confusion, unanswered questions, or even relief, and sometimes several of these feelings at once.
You may find yourself replaying conversations, wondering what you missed, or asking questions that may never have clear answers.
There is no “right” way to grieve a su***de loss, and there is no timeline for when you should be “okay.”
If you’ve lost someone to su***de, you deserve support, compassion, and a space where you don’t have to explain or minimize what you’re feeling.
This Su***de Prevention Month, we remember those we’ve lost, and we hold space for the people who continue to carry their memory. 💜
If you or someone you know is struggling with thoughts of su***de or experiencing a mental health crisis, call or text 988 to connect with the Su***de & Crisis Lifeline.
