A Sweet Day in Ellijay!

Our residents enjoyed a wonderful day trip to Ellijay, Georgia. We started the day with some mouthwatering BBQ at Biguns BBQ.

Then, we headed to Panorama Apple Barn & Market for some apple-inspired treats and a taste of the flavors of the season! From sweet treats to shopping and taking in the beautiful surroundings, our residents had a fantastic time.

Our residents had a bubbling good time exploring science with a fun Homemade Lava Lamp Experiment!

Using simple ingredients like vegetable oil, water, food coloring, and Alka-Seltzer, our residents created their very own colorful lava lamp effects. The excitement really started when we dropped in the Alka-Seltzer and watched the colorful bubbles rise and fall!
It was wonderful seeing our residents make predictions, watch the reactions, and cheer each other on as their lava lamps came to life. Science isn't just for the classroom—it can be fun, engaging, and meaningful at any age!

Our residents enjoyed a wonderful outing to Sleepy Hollow Farm Pumpkin Patch! From exploring the corn maze to visiting the adorable animals at the petting zoo, there was something fun around every corner!

Our residents also enjoyed lawn games, tractor rides, beautiful scenery, and plenty of laughter and memories along the way.

Wrapping Up an Unforgettable National Assisted Living Week!

The last couple of days of National Assisted Living Week were filled with nostalgia, laughter, and wonderful memories!

Our residents took a delicious trip down memory lane as we enjoyed popular snacks from each decade, starting with the 1950s. Each snack sparked conversations, memories, and plenty of “I remember that!” moments!

We ended the week with Memories & Mimosas. Residents shared stories, brought out pictures, reminisced about special moments, and enjoyed getting to know even more about one another.

From traveling through the decades to celebrating Dot Day , lighting things up at our exciting Glow Party , and getting creative during our relaxing Paint & Sip, every day brought something special!

We loved seeing our residents shine, try something new, reminisce about the past, and most importantly—enjoy time together.
