Protect your mental health before burnout makes the decision for you. πŸ’š

If your mental health is suffering because of work, don’t feel like quitting is your only option. You may qualify for intermittent Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), which can allow you to take protected time off while keeping your job.

Intermittent leave may include:
β€’ A few hours off at a time
β€’ A few days off each month
β€’ Time off on an as-needed basis
β€’ A reduced work schedule over several months

Mental health matters just as much as physical health. Know your options, advocate for yourself, and prioritize your well-being. πŸ’š

May is Foster Care Awareness Month πŸ’™

This month, we recognize the strength, resilience, and potential of children and youth in foster care, as well as the families, advocates, and professionals who support them every day.

Every child deserves safety, stability, love, and the opportunity to thrive. Foster care awareness is about more than recognition. It is about creating supportive communities, advocating for children’s emotional well being, and helping youth feel seen, valued, and heard.

Whether through fostering, mentoring, advocacy, community support, or simply showing compassion, each of us has the ability to make a difference in a child’s life.

As a social worker, I remain committed to supporting children and families through healing centered care, emotional support, and advocacy that promotes hope and long term stability.

Together, we can continue building stronger futures for children and families in our communities.

With care,
Annie K. Natson, MA., MBA., MSW, LMSW

May is Mental Health Awareness Month πŸ’š

Mental health matters every day, for every person. This month is a reminder that healing is possible, support is available, and no one has to face life’s challenges alone.

As a therapist and social worker, I encourage everyone to prioritize emotional wellness, practice self compassion, and check in on the people around you. Seeking help is a sign of strength, not weakness.

Take time to rest.
Talk about your feelings.
Protect your peace.
Choose healing.

Together, we can continue breaking the stigma surrounding mental health and create spaces where people feel safe, supported, and heard.

With care,
Annie K. Natson, MA., MBA., MSW, LMSW
