We're 50, feminist, and still fighting! ✊🏽

This year marks 📣half a century!!📣 of Feminist Center. That's 50 years of bringing an unapologetic, feminist vision of reproductive liberation to life! And now is the time to enter a new era united under a shared history and recommitment to changemaking.

Anniversaries can feel strange in times like these. It seems like every day brings some new, horrible bullsh!t from the courts, legislature, and even from our own communities. But we think our 50th anniversary is the perfect opportunity to review lessons learned over the generations and apply them to the challenges in front of us. We're grown, y'all! We've seen some stuff, and we need to share it with you!

⚠️Judicial flipflopping afoot! ⚠️The bottom-line: Abortion is still legal in Georgia, and telehealth-prescribed abortion pills via mail and pharmacy are still legal options for care. You can also still go to a brick-and-mortar clinic in Georgia (including us) to get medication abortion or surgical abortion care.

The details: Today, the Supreme Court temporarily restored access to pharmacy & mail-order telehealth abortion pill mifepristone. This restoration was in response to a separate court decision on Friday that ruled to take access away. We expect SCOTUS to release a full decision on this case sometime soon.

While Feminist Center will be able to prescribe medication abortion pills regardless of this decision, we still believe that people deserve the full scope of care available, and that includes access to mifepristone via mail and pharmacy - like if you agree!
