🌳 Many Trees Make a Forest , and I’m proud to be rooted in this one.
Attending the LPCA 38th Annual Convention & Regional Conference this week, surrounded by counselors and mental health advocates who show up for this profession every single day.
Let me be clear: licensure is not a restriction! It’s a responsibility!
Being a Licensed Professional Counselor means rigorous graduate education, thousands of supervised clinical hours, national examination, and an ongoing commitment to ethical practice. Those aren’t barriers, they’re the standard of care your healing journey deserves.
When someone bypasses licensure because of “restrictions,” ask yourself …restrictions for whom? Those boundaries exist to protect you, the client.
The people in my care will always deserve the standard and beyond. 💙
