GSCA has now has an open call for officer nominations. The following positions are now accepting nominations for the 2027-2028 fiscal year:

* Terms begin July 2027
* President-Elect
* Secretary (Term ends June 2029)
* Elementary Director (Term ends June 2029)
* Secondary Director (Term ends June 2029)
* Metro Director (Term ends June 2029)
* Central Director (Term ends June 2029)
* Finance Committee (Past President) (Term ends June 2028)
* Finance Committee (General Member) (Term ends June 2028)

The nomination period ends on Friday, September 11, 2026. Candidates nominated will be on the ballot in November 2026 and elected candidates will take office July 1, 2027.

Join us for 2026 Virtual GSCA RAMP Camp on Friday, May 8 from 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. This day will be broken into morning and afternoon sessions to help you take a deep dive into the 5th Edition of the ASCA National Model and focus exploration of the RAMP (Recognized ASCA Model Program) process. Today, we celebrate the incredible dedication and hard work of nurses everywhere, especially our amazing school nurses (and clinic aids) who play a vital role in the health and well-being of our students.

School nurses and school counselors work hand-in-hand to create a supportive and nurturing environment for our students. Together, they address physical, emotional, and mental health needs, ensuring that every student has the resources they need to thrive both academically and personally.

From managing chronic health conditions to providing mental health support, their collaboration is essential in fostering a safe and healthy school community. Let’s take a moment to appreciate their teamwork and the positive impact they have on our students’ lives. Thank your school nurse in the comments.
