My first summer actually BEHAVING as though I’m a physician😂🤭🙌🏾I sat out so many years from travel and other experiences so I could accomplish my dreams. The sacrifice was well worth it. This summer owes me absolutely nothing and now I truly have the travel bug. At least 2 big trips per year from now on. At least🙌🏾🎉This was the summer of my dreams✨

Running it back to some of the amazing opportunities and experiences I’ve had with FIGS ! Magazine shoot. Impact trip to Kenya. Content creation for their ads. When I created my platform, Surgery And The City, I planned to share only the part of me that loves fashion and keep my journey as a student ➡️ resident ➡️ Attending physician private. I slowly began sharing that journey and I’m so glad I did. FIGS solidified the duality of my platform, keeping me stylish in clinic and impactful in real life. I saw a post last week that said remember the times when prayer requests become part of your camera roll. Grateful to have these memories at which I can marvel✨

My first time back to Martha’s Vineyard since I lived here in 2020. That gap year on the Vineyard before residency was when God really began to turn things around for me…not to mention He protected me from an entire pandemic by tucking me away on an island to work. Martha’s Vineyard will always have a special place in my ❤️. Excited for this girls trip!!

Thank you ESSENCE magazine for featuring Anya’s Enclave!! This is such a dream come true!! I set out to create an intentional space for my family’s history—Black American history—and to fill my home with art, photographs, and love. I’m so grateful to have the ‘Essence’ of The Enclave captured in this way. , thank you so much for taking such beautiful portraits of my space! Thank you for encouraging me to go after my dreams and for informing my approach in pitching this story. Appreciate you always!!
