October 10th is World Mental Health Day. This year’s campaign calls for mental health conversations to center the voices of people with lived experience of mental illness (PWLE) to shape the policies, services, and decisions that affect their lives. Too often, PWLE are asked to share their stories, only to be excluded from policy-making around mental illness. From the WHO: "Let us move from listening to action – and build mental health systems with PWLE, not merely for them.

This annual indoor/outdoor festival highlighting the small businesses in the Piedmont Heights area will feature food, drinks, crafts by local makers, and a charity raffle for local goods and services.
