In celebration of Shavuot, Berman Commons residents enjoyed a special cooking class led by Chef James, featuring a delicious berry trifle recipe from the Culinary Judaics Academy.

With layers of soft pound cake, fresh berries, berry compote, and light, fluffy whipped cream, this spring and summer dessert was such a hit that residents immediately requested it be added to the Berman menu!

Shavuot is often celebrated with dairy foods and sweet treats, making this berry trifle a perfect way to honor the holiday while bringing residents together for learning, laughter, and a little something sweet. 🍓

Thank you to Chef James for leading such a fun and meaningful class!

Last week, The Auxiliary of The William Breman Jewish Home gathered for something truly special — their annual Spring Luncheon, celebrating 40 years of service, sisterhood, and heart.

It was an afternoon filled with gratitude and joy: honoring the Past Presidents whose dedication has shaped this community, welcoming a new board of leaders ready to carry that legacy forward, and celebrating the spirit of giving that has defined The Auxiliary for four decades.

To everyone who joined us, thank you. Your presence, your generosity, and your commitment to this community mean more than words can say. Here's to 40 years, and to many more. 🌷

🌟 Learning, Growing, and Inspiring Together!

We’re proud to celebrate our Activities Directors from The Towers, Berman Commons, and The William Breman Jewish Home, who are representing Jewish HomeLife at the 2026 NAAP Annual Conference in Chicago! 🏙️

Throughout the conference, they’re participating in engaging workshops, inspiring keynotes, and hands-on seminars designed to spark new ideas and enhance the lives of the residents we serve.

Their dedication to learning and growth reflects what resident-centered care is all about: creating meaningful moments, joyful experiences, and vibrant communities for older adults.

We can’t wait to see the fresh inspiration they bring back to Jewish HomeLife! 🧡

On the final day of Nurses Week, we honor the legacy of Florence Nightingale, the founder of modern nursing, whose compassion, courage, and dedication helped shape the future of care.

Known as “The Lady with the Lamp,” Nightingale brought light and comfort to those who needed it most. Today, we see that same light in the nurses across Jewish HomeLife.

From skilled nursing and rehabilitation to hospice, assisted living, memory care, home care, and our broader community of services, our nurses bring comfort, knowledge, patience, and heart to those we serve.

To our incredible nurses: thank you for the care you provide, the trust you build, and the light you bring to our communities every day. Your work is deeply meaningful, and we are grateful for all that you do.

Happy Nurses Week 🧡
