Mind, Body, Peace

Mind, Body, Peace Helping you connect with your body and mind to create more peace in your life. We often focus on what isn't working in our lives.

I hope that we can use this page to discuss what is working and help each other in recognizing the positives in their own life. Whether we recognize it or not, even in the midst of a terribly difficult situation, we do somethings that are right. We don't always recognize it since we have been taught to focus on what did not work. In this page, I hope that we can assist each other in seeing the positive steps we took.

been a minute, but discussing outlet behavior, transitory guilt, and pushing guilt away in this video to complete the cycle of offending information.

this time we talk about grooming the victim. this is where you set up circumstances where people aren't really expecting you to act in harmful ways or are expecting you to be defensive, so they leave you alone. it looks different with hands on offenses, internet based offenses, and how we engage in offending behaviors ourselves.

06/09/2026

what behaviors are you over engaging in to distract yourself from your experiences and feelings? this is the next step on the cycle of offending. when feelings build up, we have to do something with them and this seems to be a way in which we start to manage. while not unhealthy in and of themselves, they can be when we are using them to manage our feelings and overdoing it.

when we fail to engage a person assertively (for reasons of poor self image/expectation of rejection) we land at compensatory fantasies. these are not necessarily sexual...watch the video for explanation.

so far we have discussed poor self image->expectation of rejection->withdrawal. now we discuss unassertiveness- communicating in passive, passive aggressive, or aggressive ways.

06/03/2026

if we shame ourselves or amplify our self worth to counter feeling worthless, it leads to expecting others to reject us. we we think people think about us like we think about ourselves, then we are naturally going to want to withdraw away from people. withdrawal is harmful for us social creatures. we need social connections. if we keep down this path of the cycle of offending without challenging our thinking, we get in some big trouble.

cycle of offending part 2.
poor self image to expectation of rejection. when we don't see ourselves as worthy of love, care, respect, we end up projecting that on to others. this then informs how we behave and how it impacts the rest of our cycle. challenge the s**t you say to yourselves! if it's not kind and accurate, it is not working!

I have learned a lot in my work with those that offend sexually. Here is some information that may be helpful. We are starting with the Cycle of Offending. This is the 1st video talking about Poor Self Image

relationships with children can be a wonderful place to heal parts of you that were hurt by creating spaces that you did not have when you were growing up. and if you're lucky, they let you know that they want you around.
