Speech-language pathology—and the patients, families, and providers who depend on it—is facing a critical challenge.
SPEAK, the Speech Pathology Education, Advocacy, and Knowledge Project, is urgently collecting credible data on the true cost of providing speech-language pathology services.

This evidence is essential to advocate for sustainable reimbursement and protect access to quality communication and feeding care across hospitals, schools, early intervention, and private practice.

Proposed reimbursement changes could make it increasingly difficult for providers to continue delivering these vital services. We need your help to collect and analyze the necessary data by September 3.

Please donate at any level and share this message. Every dollar matters. You never know when you or someone you love may need an SLP to improve their safety, independence, and quality of life.

Help fund a nationwide SLP cost survey to provide CMS with real cost data and support SLP reimbursement, CPT code valuation, and payment advocacy.

Our OT friends help us so much with fantastic tools that support development for growing bodies as we support executive function together.

As SLPs working on executive function our students draw many pictures to visualize and encode information from past events to future planning from paper to our personal mind movies.

From objects to scenes to experiences. Together, we support internalizing or visualizing language (people, animals, furniture, emotions, weather, clothing, setting (grass to clouds and in between), and beyond as we develop working memory for later recall.

We love supporting our students to think back visually to self evaluate and learn from lived experiences and schemas. From books to trips to daily life. Language is everywhere.
