The flu is more than just a bug. It is a serious, highly contagious respiratory virus that can keep kids home from school for days and even put them in the hospital. The AAP recommends that all children aged 6 months and older receive the flu vaccine every year to protect them from severe illness and hospitalization. As we prepare for Flu season! Our office will begin flu clinics September 1, 2026 - Call today to schedule your child for the flu vaccine.

A recent study in Pediatrics found that influenza vaccination reduced the risk of death from flu among U.S. kids and teens in recent years. The overall vaccine effectiveness against death from flu was 80% from August 2016 through July 2025.
