Here’s your permission: you do not have to pre-clean. You are hiring a service, not soliciting impressions of you. Hiring a cleaning service is meant to take something off your plate; treat it as such.

This week for me it means even less screen time and getting back to some childhood favorites…reading under a tree. Slowing life down even for a bit is hard, I know, but necessary for sustainability.

Being of service to the was an absolute stretching experience.

I sat through my own externship in 2020 before the world changed before my eyes. Being a helper at this training showed me how impactful my singular reach can be, how much emotion is still misunderstood, and that learning is never-ending.

Looking forward to other experiences beyond the therapy room that stretch my clinical muscles and shape my private practice!

Picked up two goodies during my break today.
Monday was Mondaying so I decided to spend a little time outside and thrift for a few books.

Now Attached is a repurchase (my first copy I passed off to a client), and I picked up Permission to Feel because it just felt….right…ya know?!

Winter storms aren’t new to me as a native New Yorker and what I remember from my childhood is that events are what you make of them.

I’ll be spending time cuddled with my pup engulfed in several different worlds to preserve my phone battery.

Praying for all of those affected by this winter storm across the country.

When life feels heavy, it’s easy to reach for whatever comforts us in the moment.

Soothing doesn’t always help us in the long-term and coping doesn’t always assist us in the moment.
