Lowell thought it was a sports hernia for 10 years. It was hip dysplasia and osteoarthritis — and through it all, he kept coaching soccer and raising his boys, managing the pain as best he could.

When a trip to Jamaica left him unable to get around comfortably, Lowell came to Resurgens looking for a surgeon who'd communicate honestly and understand his goal: getting back to an active life. He found that in Dr. Yarbrough.

He did the work. 57 days after his total hip replacement, he was back on the ice. First shift back, he scored. Now his son plays on his team. "Playing without pain, playing better, and feeling good again has made life special."
