Frazer Center Fostering inclusive communities where people with and without disabilities gather, learn, & flourish.

Annually we serve over 250 children - one-third of whom have a developmental disability - between the ages of 6 weeks and 5 years in our inclusive Child Development Program. We are one of only a few inclusive early education programs in metro-Atlanta and are unique in supporting both children and adults with disabilities in reaching their full potential.

“I like having some financial independence. And a sense of purpose each day.”

Jonathan Grant has been working at The Fresh Market for four months. He works with produce, prepares and bottles fresh juice, and occasionally lends a hand in the floral department.

Jonathan found his job with support from Frazer Center’s Supported Employment program, which helps adults with developmental disabilities pursue work based on their interests, skills, and goals.

October is National Disability Employment Awareness Month. We’re celebrating Jonathan and the many people with disabilities who contribute to workplaces across our community.

Your voice is part of advocacy.

With early voting underway in Georgia, Frazer Center CEO DeAnna Julian is encouraging voters to learn where candidates stand on issues affecting people with disabilities and their families.

In the latest edition of Where Policy Meets Practice, DeAnna reflects on candidate forums she’s attended and shares updates on several important policy priorities:

• Georgia’s Medicaid waiver waitlist and the need for more people to receive services
• Medicaid reimbursement rates that affect providers and the professionals who support people with disabilities
• Continued work around housing, transportation, employment, and community-based supports

These issues will remain important after Election Day, and Georgia’s elected leaders will have a role in addressing them.

October's Volunteer Saturday brought a great mix of new and returning volunteers into Frazer Forest! 🌳

A big thank-you to volunteers from the The Junior League of Atlanta, Emory University's Alpha Phi Omega, and Amka Terra, along with the individual volunteers who joined us, including many familiar faces who return month after month. Together, they worked to remove non-native plants like English ivy and liriope.

We're grateful to Trees Atlanta for their continued partnership and guidance in the long-term restoration of our forest. This special place is an important part of daily life at Frazer Center and a treasured green space for our neighbors. Restoring and protecting it takes ongoing work and many helping hands.

Thank you to everyone who spent their Saturday morning with us. We're grateful for your time and commitment!

Mark your calendars! We are less than a month away from PTAC’s annual Fall Festival.

Sunday, Nov. 8 from 2-5pm at our very own Cator Woolford Gardens! There are many fall festivals popping up around the city, but this one is designed specifically with the littlest ones in mind—with sensory play, arts and crafts, face-painting, music, zen zone, and more for infants through preschoolers, and activities inclusive of children of all abilities. We will also have a silent auction and offer b**r and w**e for adults for a $5 suggested donation.

Our goal this year is to raise $20,000. We are well on our way but need your help to get there.

Fall Fest serves as PTAC's (Parent-Teacher Action Committee) primary fundraiser for the 2026–2027 school year. We rely heavily on fundraising to help make our school the exceptional center that it is! Whether it's Teacher + Staff Appreciation Week or events to bring Frazer families together, Frazer's PTAC aims to recognize and support the hard-working teachers and staff who make this place so wonderful.
