With scalp micropigmentation there are things to consider to help manage expectations and desired outcomes. In my case, for example, my hairloss has resided mostly on my perimeters. I decided thatI desired a fade with more coverage for the best aesthetic. Scalp micropigmentation is not 3D, so when hair is allowed to grow beyond the borders of the procedure, there will be demarcation. It is important to keep the hair that still grows at the level of the opacity of the SMP. This DOES NOT apply to Density fills where this method is being used to create fullness within existing hair that is only experiencing thinness and not complete hairloss. Where the hairloss lives on the scalp is important in determining what is best approach. Not everyone has to cut hair low.
