Hands-On Assists for Yoga Teachers: The Art of Safe & Intentional Adjustments.
🙌
Saturday, August 8th, 1–3pm

With Angelica Grossberg Angelica Grossberg
💜
Thoughtful hands-on assists can transform a student’s experience by enhancing awareness, creating stability, improving alignment, and offering a deeper sense of connection.

This workshop is designed for yoga teachers who want to develop confidence, sensitivity, and clarity in offering hands-on adjustments. We will explore how to use touch with intention, always respecting each student’s comfort, boundaries, and unique body.

During this experiential workshop, you will learn:
- The principles of safe, effective, and ethical hands-on assists.
- How to ask for and respect student consent.
- Body mechanics that protect both the teacher and the student.
- When to assist—and when not to.
- Techniques to enhance stability, balance, breath, and alignment.
- Hands-on adjustments for common standing, seated, balancing, and restorative postures.
- How to adapt assists for different body types, abilities, and levels of experience.

You’ll spend most of the workshop practicing with fellow teachers, giving and receiving feedback, and refining your touch through guided exercises. By the end of the session, you’ll leave with practical skills, increased confidence, and a deeper understanding of how mindful touch can support your students’ practice while honoring their autonomy and individual needs.

Whether you’re a new teacher or an experienced instructor looking to refine your assisting skills, this workshop will provide practical techniques that you can immediately incorporate into your classes.

Meet Christina Belue! Now teaching Sundays 8am Breathwork 45.
🦋
Christina’s breathwork classes are a fusion of conscious connected breathing and intentional breath practices, creating a deeply grounded and nourishing experience. Held with a mothering, nurturing presence, her spaces invite students to soften, be present, and reconnect with themselves.

Rooted in a trauma-aware approach, her work draws from nervous system regulation, somatics, yoga, and embodiment practices. Her intention is to help others remember what it feels like to truly be alive in the body free from distraction, stress, and the constant pull of the outside world. Through the breath, students are invited to witness their emotions with compassion, reconnect with their inner wisdom, and remember that everything they need already exists within them.

“The greatest time is now.
Whatever it is your heart is quietly calling you toward, trust it.
The dreams placed on your heart wouldn’t exist if they weren’t already meant for you.
You don’t have to have it all figured out.
You simply have to begin.”
@ Christina Belue
💜
Christina is a licensed massage therapist and certified breathwork facilitator from Memphis, Tn and now based in Atlanta, Ga whose work bridges the wisdom of the body with modern understanding of the nervous system. Following her own profound healing journey through breathwork & healing her PP depression, she has devoted herself to continued education in nervous system regulation, somatics, yoga, Kundalini, Ta**ra, movement, and embodiment practices. Each discipline has deepened her understanding that the body already knows the way—it simply needs the space to remember. Her greatest hope is that every person who leaves her classes walks away feeling more present, more connected, and more at home within themselves.

Meet Diana Rivera teaching Fridays 10am Flow 60!
🙏
Diana’s classes are built with intention, inviting you to have fun and challenge yourself with creative transitions designed to build focus, stay present, and be surprised by your own potential. With personalized guidance you’ll be able to flow through sequences or modify the practice to your needs. In slower-paced classes, you will enjoy deep breathing, relaxation, and the use of props; she ensures
every session is adapted for everyone.

My yoga practice has always provided paths that lead to self-knowledge, awareness, freedom, power, and love. I enjoy experimenting and learning from meditation, pranayamas, asanas, and the energetic aspects of the practice. Through this, I have been able to connect with the present moment, impermanence, detachment, and creativity.

Your history is not your destiny. By observing the mind, listening to the body, feeling your breath, and connecting with your energy, you unlock the infinite possibility of transformation, and yoga is a wonderful practice to achieve this.
💜
Originally from Mexico City, Diana started her yoga journey in 2003. After exploring different styles, she earned her first 200-hour certification in Ashtanga and Vinyasa in 2008, followed by another 200-hour certification in Kundalini. She then specialized in Kids Yoga (40 hours), Prenatal Vinyasa (40 hours), and Meditation (48 hours), as well as Restorative and Yin Yoga (approximately 80 hours). With over 15 years of experience, she loves to teach everyone from those with limited mobility to intermediate and advanced practitioners. Diana also founded and led Siente Yoga Studio from 2015
to 2020 and has hosted more than 30 wellness retreats focused on meditation and deep healing. Her holistic approach includes Buddhism, Ayurveda, shamanism, Reiki, Akashic records, and sound therapy.

Jay Morris! Now teaching Saturday 5:45pm Warm Flow & Yin 60 and 7pm Warm Yin 60 starting this week!
🙏
Coming from a background in martial arts, distance running, and calisthenics, Jay’s movement practice balances creative vinyasa with breath control and functional movement to explore the mind-body connection. His classes weave lived experience, meditation, music, philosophy and poetry to guide each student to their own unique and embodied expression of yoga with the understanding that how you practice yoga off the mat is as important as how you practice yoga on your mat. His classes have been described as challenging and fun puzzles layered with various levels of difficulty to support both beginners and long-time students alike.

“Yoga has helped greatly in rewiring my nervous system. Using the yamas and niyamas as a starting point, I keep upeksha (equanimity) and viveka (discernment) in the front of my mind so that each decision I make can lead with compassion, kindness, and reverence for the interconnectedness of all things.” .flows.atl
💜
Jay is from Athens, GA a small college town known more for football and the B-52s. From a young age, Jay showed a love for movement practices as a martial artist, cross country runner, and performer. He also discovered his love for poetry in Athens through poetry readings and meet ups with the University of Georgia and local community organizations. He moved to Atlanta in 2016 to pursue a career in public health, and found yoga four years later while looking for healthier ways to cope with stress. Since then Jay has completed a 250 hour yoga training focusing on yin, creative vinyasa, and power flows. His interdisciplinary yoga style is a direct result from his eagerness to learn from as many students and instructors as he can. He is currently enrolled in the Katonah Yoga self-paced training program, where he is learning how to imbue his yoga practice with Taoist philosophy and energy work.

Nikki Brasch teaching Wednesdays 8:30om Warm Slow Flow 60 and Sundays 7:30pm Flow & Meditate 60!
💫
Nikki’s classes are rooted in the spiritual heart center, guiding students through a moving meditation where breath and movement become one. Her teaching lives at the intersection of science and spirituality, creating a safe, intentional space where students feel seen, supported, and free to experience themselves exactly as they are.
🧘🏻‍♂️🧘🏻‍♀️🧘🏾🧘🏼🧘‍♀️🧘🏻🧘🏽‍♂️🧘🧘🏼‍♂️🧘🏽‍♀️🧘🏾‍♀️
With an emphasis on both grounding and exploration, she encourages students to work hard while also playing, falling, discovering new edges, and staying curious. Her intention is to create space—to listen, to feel, and to follow the quiet wisdom of the heart—inviting students to release expectation and step into embodiment, aligning mind and body into a more integrated, expansive whole.
💜
Yoga is Nikki’s home. It is a space where she can exist fully as herself—free of judgment, free of expectation. On her mat, there is room for everything: to grieve, to cry, to heal, to love, to live, and to learn. Through yoga, she has learned to observe her mind and body while also gently detaching from them. It has deepened her compassion—for herself and for the world around her.
🏡 💞
Yoga is her anchor, her practice, and her pathway to something greater. It is her way back to herself, and her connection to the divine.Nikki’s journey began through movement. After 16 years as a competitive cheerleader, her body carried both strength and the imprint of high stress and trauma. Yoga became a pathway to healing—physically, mentally, and emotionally.
🙏
She graduated from Georgia Institute of Technology in Spring 2025 with a B.S. in Industrial Design and a minor in Psychology. Her studies deepened her understanding of the connection between the brain and body, including the role of the nervous system in regulating stress and healing.

Aria teaches trauma-informed yoga rooted in Kundalini, Ta**ra Hatha, and Ayurvedic principles. Her classes are intentional, intuitive spaces that emphasize nervous system regulation, somatic awareness, and sacred ritual. She weaves energy medicine, breathwork, and ceremonial practice into each offering—creating containers that support authentic embodiment and soul-level transformation. Whether through restorative stillness or dynamic movement, Aria meets each student exactly where they are, holding space for deep healing, empowerment, and remembrance.
💫
Yoga is the foundation of my path toward wholeness and liberation. It first found me in 2007 through meditation and seasonal ceremony, opening gateways into the unseen realms. Over time, the practice became not just a tool for healing trauma, but a sacred map for awakening intuition, reclaiming sovereignty, and living in alignment with the rhythms of nature. It’s through yoga that I learned to transmute pain into purpose, and survival into embodiment—and it’s this journey that I now offer others.
🙏
“Your body remembers what to do.
Meet yourself with grace.
Let the breath be your guide back home.” .shakti
