Calling all elementary school SLPs: We want to learn from you!
Dr. Danika Pfeiffer (Old Dominion University) is partnering with Dr. Tim Deluca (University of Massachusetts Amherst), Dr. Kate Radville (Northeastern University), and Dr. Amy Peterson (University of Wyoming) to conduct a research project to better understand school-based speech-language pathologists’ (SLPs’) use of diagnostic terminology to refer to spoken language difficulty.
Participants are asked to complete a short, 10-minute survey. Those who complete the survey will be entered to win a $50 Tango gift card that may be used at multiple vendors.
Participants may also be invited to participate in a 60-minute focus group over Zoom. Participation is completely voluntary. If you qualify and can participate in a focus group, you will be compensated for your time with a Tango gift card value of $25 that may be used at multiple vendors.

We are recruiting school-based SLPs to participate in a paid research study exploring how narrative language interventions are implemented in school-based settings.

What will participation involve?

Record two typical therapy sessions that use a book or narrative as the main material.
Complete a brief questionnaire/reflection following each recorded session.
Students will not be included in the research recordings.
Participation is voluntary, and all videos will be kept confidential.
Compensation: Participants can earn up to $50 total ($20 per video and $10 for the session questionnaires).

Researchers at the University of Iowa Stuttering Lab are conducting a national study on how school-based SLPs support K-12 students who stutter. They are looking for school-based SLPs who have served at least one student who stutters to complete a 20-minute online survey.

You may be eligible if you:
Hold a graduate degree in speech-language pathology
Are currently licensed to practice in the state where you work
Have worked as a school-based SLP for at least one full academic year
Have provided services to at least one K–12 student who stutters

Participants will share their perspectives on their training in stuttering therapy, their current stuttering therapy practices, and a promising stutter-affirming approach. A subset of participants will be invited for a 45-60 minute follow-up interview. Survey completers will be entered into a drawing for $50 compensation (drawing held every 25 completed surveys), and interviewees will earn $25.
